Tuesday? What? It's Tuesday?! Well if it weren't for the snow outside, I would be a day late posting this week's update. Thank goodness for the snow! I am now able to stay up late and complete a few tasks to make today feel more productive. Numero Uno...the wedding update. This past week was filled with more and more details---what's new? I sometimes sit back and think, "Will there be a week when I don't have anything to write about?" Then I think to myself...Nope! Well I try to keep myself busy, which makes time go by a little quicker.
Here's the exciting world of Brian and Kelly engagement date nights. Friday night: Grand Piano! I can hardly stand the excitement. We finally selected a bedroom suite that was in our budget...and the angels rejoiced! Another big decision out of the way. Now for some reason I feel like ten strings come untied everytime that we tie up one loose end. Just the nature of planning a wedding I guess.
Saturday I attended the Bride of the Year Luncheon with a bunch of my wedding party/family type people. The luncheon was at West Manor--a beautiful, but somewhat overrated bed and breakfast in Forest. It is a lovely place, but way too expensive for the room that is allocated for receptions. Nevertheless, we all had a great time...Of course we did, it involved a chocolate fountain. I believe that a chocolate fountain could make any event more exciting!
After the luncheon, Brian and I visited our Home Under Construction. We were surprised to find many advances since our last visit. The walls actually resemble walls. The countertops were all installed with the exception of the bar. The painting has begun, and the sinks are soon to be installed. Without further ado, the picures:
Here are some of my beautiful bridesmaids that attended the lucheon with me! Judith even came from Blacksburg...she must like me a little bit! I would do it for you too, Juth!
Here are the gorgeous roses that adorned our table's center...and yes, those are coffee beans on the table too! I loved the idea!
Throughout the event Sommer's Place had models with Mother-of-the-Bride type wardrobe. The models were pretty funny. Mom and Vicki didn't figure out that they were models for a while.
Ballroom dancing with Donna! These couples were so cute! I don't think that Brian would be willing to do any dancing like they demonstrated.
Yes, Vicki was excited! The food was delicious, and there was so much of it! Belle, Vicki's dog, even tasted some of the Prime rib, chicken, and lobster.
Ahhh yes...there's the proof. I guess you could say "the proof is in the napkin...."
Everyone had a precious little truffle at their seat. They were almost too cute to eat.

This is like the limo that we will ride in, except our limo will be black.
How awesome will it be to ride in this? A fireplace? Are you kidding?
A view from the front. What a huge car.

In our basement we have some nice art already! At least we'll never forget the name of our unit!

Wow! Something that resembles a family room/kitchen. I love our townhome so much!

This is our upstairs hallway looking into the guest bedroom.
Well that's all for now folks! More to come next week!
