ABC talkin bout 123

And the teaching begins...Here is the promised Student Teaching post. It has been such an awesome experience so far in student teaching. Today, the newspaper honored Mrs. Yoder and me with a front page story. I was so stunned that my little role as a student teacher would be honored in the newspaper. I expected a very brief story tucked away in the lifestyle section. Wow! I am truly blessed to be working with Mrs. Yoder this placement. I have already learned so much. I love the kids...they are precious. I am now teaching the full lessons all day. In 4th grade at TES, each teacher teaches a subject. So, I have the entire 4th during the day, one class at a time. It has taken me a while to get a good handle on all of their names, but I think I've got it now! I love each one of the personalities that come out on a daily basis. I feel like I have been in a tornado-like time warp for the past week. Time has flown! I guess I've been having fun. Today I finally felt like I had a good handle on the whole routine. It is hard for me to remember to try to have a life outside of teaching right now. I am trying to get better about not letting the "papers" monopolize every spare minute.
Here's how my student teaching experience began. School's closed!!!
This cute card was from Amy! She's so thoughtful. She prepared me a whole bag full of teachery supplies with the trademark hand sanitizer.
The first day of student teaching I had a sign waiting on my desk from my homeroom class. I nearly cried!
Books!!!!!! Lesson Plans!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!
Not only do I have an obsession with fairies, gnomes, and hats, but also pins. I acquired this delightful little habit from my kindred spirit Mrs. DeLong-sometimes it's scary how much alike we think. My collection has exploded since I began collecting them. I love them. So here's my teacher one!
Well since most everyone probably feels as though I have dropped off of the face of the Earth, don't worry...just look for my car in the Tomahawk parking lot! I'm either at school, working on school plans, or sleeping while dreaming about school plans.
