And I'm going to Carolina (Beach)...in my mind

Two weeks late, but I'm just getting the hang of the photo software that came with my wonderful new camera. Here is a short-but-sweet recap of our vacation to Carolina Beach. This was Zona's first time to the ocean...actually first time staying in another house with other people. We went with Mom, Dad, and Granny. Keri and her friend, Tiffany came down for a few days. We had wonderful food thanks to the combined efforts of Mom and Granny. It was quite the sight and sound to see and hear them in the kitchen together. Granny quickly reminded Mom that she doesn't let people in her kitchen. We also got a chance to catch up with some friends of the Davenports...the Cooks. More on that later. Now for the pics...

Zona was very curious about the whole sand thing. Automatically her first instinct kicked in..."I must eat it!" Quickly she realized it was not the delicious treat that she had imagined. Thus the result below.

"That sand thing is so overrated!"
Brian trying to give Zona a shower after her time at the beach.
This was Zona's vacation attitude pretty much all week. She was super well behaved though...thanks to some rolled up newspaper action.
We met the Cooks at the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington. Before dinner, Brian and I walked around looking at all of the downtown sights. This building was begging to be photographed, so Brian let out his inner-model. We ate at Elijah's...it was a great restaurant with a huge outdoor deck. Very cool!
Then came the ultimate love test. A day of golf with Brian. My sweet, wonderful, loving husband decided to take me along. I was actually excited at first to take pictures, but it proved to be a very warm day and the first 9 took 3.5 hours. Needless to say, our round took over 5 hours. It was a very long day, but I did take some fun pics.
I actually made it up for a sunrise...which is a miracle, as I am not the best rise-and-shine early morning person. It was worth it. It was beautiful, and we got some great pictures. This was a fun picture that I took of Brian, as he was holding up the Sun!

We played a round of mini golf one night, which I won!!! Go Kelly! It was a neat course with lots of water and jungle like greenage. We were the weirdos taking pictures of everything!
I don't like taking serious picture!
Well after a great vacation, we had worn out Zona. She was literally passed out on the couch! It was a great summer vacation!

Time for a face lift!

With summer and my new camera finally here...I'm ready to begin posting again. I got out of it after the wedding updates because I didn't like the camera, but now I have an oh- so- awesome Canon...Stay tuned!!!
